Precaution While Consuming Mycophenolate Mofetil

My Indian Pharmacy

Take the medicine just as your doctor tells you to. Do not take more of it, do not take it more often, and do not take it for longer than your doctor told you to. If you take too much, you may have more side effects; if you take too little, your body may reject the organ you just got.

It should come with a Medication Guide and instructions for the patient. Carefully read and do what is said here. Go see a doctor if they persist or because you concern.

Unless your doctor tells you otherwise, it is best to take the medicine on an empty stomach, either an hour before or two hours after a meal.

The capsules, tablets, and tablets with a slow release of mycophenolate should all be swallowed whole. Don’t crush, cut, open, chew, or break them.

It’s essential to be careful with the medicine. Don’t breathe in the powder from the capsule or let the powder or oral liquid get in your eyes or skin. If you get any treatment on your skin, wash it well with soap and water. If any medicine gets in your eyes, rinse them with water. If powder or liquid gets on the floor, wipe it with paper towels that have been wet with water.

The oral dispenser measures the amount of liquid medicine taken by mouth. Don’t mix with any other medication. Consult your physician or pharmacist for further information.

Only take the medicine in the brand that your doctor told you to. There may be differences in how different brands work.

If you are also taking antacids with aluminium or magnesium in them, like Maalox® or Mylanta®, you shouldn’t take them with mycophenolate. Use them 2 hours after you’ve taken your medicine. If you have questions about when to take your medications, talk to your doctor.
