No specific foods don’t go well with omeprazole, so you don’t need to avoid any.

Omeprazole is a medicine that makes your stomach make less acid.

It is used to treat duodenal ulcers, heartburn, indigestion, acid reflux, and gastric ulcers and to lower the risk of bleeding in the upper digestive tract and other health problems caused by too much acid.

Food Tips for People Taking Omeprazole: If you have symptoms of too much stomach acid, indigestion, heartburn, or an ulcer, some foods or drinks may make your symptoms worse. Different foods and beverages cause stomach and acid problems in other people, so pay attention to how your body reacts to certain foods and change your diet as needed.

Acidic foods and drinks like apples, lemons, grapefruit, oranges, tomatoes, wine, lemonade, coca-cola, fruit juices, and energy drinks can make GERD, heartburn, and indigestion symptoms worse.

Fatty or greasy foods like french fries, pizza, and deep-fried chicken slow down digestion, leading to indigestion, heartburn, and nausea.

Gastric symptoms can also worsen when you eat onions, garlic, chocolate, coffee, peppermint, and some spices.

A study found that drinking more than 300ml of beer or white wine can cause gastroesophageal reflux in people with GERD. The study suggested that people with GERD not consume more than 300ml of beer or white wine.

Researchers also looked at low-alcohol beer and wine to see if they caused reflux. They did, but this had nothing to do with the alcohol or acidity levels.
