Information About Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol

My Indian Pharmacy

The combination of drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol is used to stop pregnancy. When used as directed, this combination of the hormones Ethinylestradiol and drospirenone serves as an effective contraceptive. It stops a woman’s egg from developing to its full potential every month. The egg can’t take in sperm anymore, so fertilization (pregnancy) can’t happen.

In addition to its use in the treatment of acne, this drug is also approved for the management of premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) in females aged 14 and up. Intense premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) is a subtype of PMS (PMS). 10 to 14 days before their period starts, people with PMDD may have terrible physical and emotional symptoms.

No contraceptive method is 100 percent effective. Contraceptive tablets are not as successful as other means of preventing pregnancy, such as becoming sterile through surgery or abstaining from sexual activity. Talk to your doctor about the many methods of birth control available to you.

The medicine does not protect against HIV or other diseases that are spread through sexual contact. It won’t work as emergency birth control, like if you had sex without protection.

You can only get the medicine with a prescription from your doctor.
